About the Author

Richard Palmer is an Emeritus Professor of Implant Dentistry and Periodontology at King’s College London Faculty of Dentistry, Oral and Craniofacial Sciences, where he was Head of Restorative Dentistry from 2002 to 2013. He is an honorary life member of the British Society of Periodontology.  Professor Palmer has been the President of the British Society of Periodontology (2003 to 2004) and the European Federation of Periodontology (2008 to 2009). He has published many scientific and clinical papers and is an experienced book author.
